“Solemn, yet Uplifting”

I’m a new player. Today I completed Eden. It’s the first time I’ve felt death in a video game so strongly. I already knew the art and music/sound design was incredibly immersive and emotional, but Eden took things to a whole new level.
I am an avid video game player, having played many FPS-type games before. Sky is the first game I’ve ever played where death was approached in such a solemn manner, yet as part of a much bigger and uplifting story. This is the first time a game has made me cry.
Sky has changed my life. It has allowed me to safely feel vulnerable and express myself in the game without fear. It has even taught me to be more confident in communication in real life.
Sky is not just a game, it is a work of art. I cannot be more thankful to everyone who has made it possible.
