A couple times I’ve been diving down deep chasms, looking for pathways and monitoring my breath meter.
I’ll be deep below the surface with only half a breath left, and start going back up. Having to navigate, and then panic when I miss the turn, I keep going and finally I see the surface. My breath meter is now a sliver and I might not make it, then gasp, I make it to the surface! And I’ll realise that I’ve let out a deep exhalation. For some reason, I subconsciously begin to hold my breath when my avatar is close to running out of air. It makes surfacing super visceral, like I was really underwater.
This game continues to amaze me.
